Well hello stranger! Long time no see!

First I have to say the cabin was beautiful. 2 days is really not NEARLY enough time to unwind anymore, so instead I’m working as hard as I can so I can bring my Master home full time. It seems that’s where all my pet energy has gone lately. Pleasing Him professionally. Putting more hours in. More projects completed. Higher-paying contract jobs. More ideas for how to bring in various sources of income so that if one dries up the rest will carry the load.

It’s tough though. When we spend so much energy on work and income and the business of life, we tend to let days and weeks go by without enjoying the life we’ve already built this far. Things get tense and tired seeps in a lot faster and heavier than it ever did before. It gets harder to turn off the work switch so the rest can come easy. But things with work have gotten better ten times over this last month so hopefully by years’ end we’ll be rockin in 2009 singin the anthem of “I win!”
